The Carolwood Society welcomes all who are interested to attend on Saturday, August 1st, 2026 at Chapman University's Argyros Forum Student Union in Orange, California for a program that celebrates the legacy of craft in theme park design and delivery as forged by the original Imagineers. Our high-level agenda is as follows:

Dr. Brian Alters will share a short presentation describing the class he has taught at Chapman University over many years that served as a an inspiration for this event and is coming to a close this summer.
Feature Presentation: Imagineering Origin Stories
Our esteemed panel will traverse the experiences and achievements of Disney Legend, Roger E. Broggie from the early days of his career in Hollywood through to his recognition as a Disney Legend. Panelists include Disney Legend, Bob Gurr, Former Imagineering Creative Director, Tom Morris, and Carolwood Society Founder and son of Roger Broggie, Michael Broggie.
Roger E. Broggie Imagineering Award
The Carolwood Society periodically celebrates the life achievements of individuals who have dedicated their lives to continuing the legacy and inspirations of Walt Disney, particularly his enduring quest to bring imagination to life. At this event, we will recognize Bob Gurr with this award that bears the name of Roger E. Broggie, Walt Disney's first Imagineer.
