Celebrated as ‘Queen Of The High C’s’, Emily’s incomparable vocal talent has seen her enjoy a huge career at the forefront of the Australian and international entertainment industries.
We first met Emily back in 2005 on Network Ten’s ‘Australian Idol’ where she stormed the final two thanks to her iconic renditions of the most vocally challenging songs of all time. Though she ended being the season’s runner-up, Emily had already won the hearts of the nation!
Never defined by a single genre, when it came to solo music Emily drew inspiration from her soul, pop, dance and R&B influences to deliver something uniquely her.
As a Fiji-Samoan woman, born and raised in New Zealand, Emily grew up surrounded by culture, tradition and Christian values. Heritage and self identity has always been hugely important to her and is something she hopes to instil in the next generation of performers.
Musical success continued for Emily with singles, feature tracks and concept shows dropping constantly. These releases were brought together on ‘The Emily Williams Collection’ an album that celebrated Emily’s musical journey including fan favourites ‘The Way It Is’ ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ and ‘Falling For You’.

The supremely talented Emily Williams, a rising star in her own right, is set to take on the iconic role of Rachel Marron in the internationally acclaimed sensation, 'The Bodyguard.' With an awe-inspiring blend of vocal prowess, charisma, and sheer star power, Williams is poised to captivate audiences in ways never seen before. However, her casting goes beyond the realms of mere performance, as she boldly steps into history as one of the pioneering women of Polynesian heritage to seize a leading role in a UK musical.
In September 2023, Emily was proudly announced as the Global Ambassador for "Women of Colour Australia," a role and organization that hold a special place in her heart.
