As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Arts Quincy is helping preserve the voices and memories that make our community unique through Illinois Voices 250! A statewide storytelling initiative in partnership with Illinois Humanities, the Illinois America 250 Commission and StoryCorps Studios.Community members are invited to share personal memories, life experiences and reflections that will become part of a historic archive preserved at the Library of Congress.
Join us at one of two upcoming events:
📍 June 26 | 5-7 pm
During Blues in the District inside Washington Theater
📍 June 27 | 8 AM-1 pm
During Farmers Market on the 6th Street Promenade
Participation is free and open to everyone. No preparation needed, just bring your story!
