About this Event
Calling all obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians, nurse midwives, and other perinatal healthcare practitioners, nurses, lactation counselors, perinatal health educators, social workers, quality leaders, public health professionals, and all advocates interested in perinatal health!
Join us on November 10, 2026, to share strategies and lessons learned from perinatal quality improvement (QI) efforts across Illinois and the country, and hear from national and state leaders providing resources and expertise as we launch our new statewide OB and Neonatal QI initiatives to improve perinatal outcomes.
We will continue the tradition of teams sharing hospital QI initiatives through our interactive Poster Session (see below for abstract submission information).

Poster Session Abstract Submission Information:
ALL hospital teams are encouraged to submit an abstract on completed or in-progress quality improvement work in any area. Abstracts submitted by Wednesday, October 7, will be reviewed for awards. We especially encourage hospitals that have not previously submitted an abstract, including Level I and Level II hospitals, to submit this year! A poster template will be provided, and support is available from ILPQC. QI stories highlighting successes, opportunities, and plans related to current ILPQC initiatives or other OB or Neonatal QI efforts are welcome.
Top abstracts in each submission category (OB, Neonatal, Patient/Family Engagement, and Level I/Level II) will receive an Award of Excellence. Special recognition will also be given in the OB and Neonatal submission categories for Best Use of Data and Best Project Implementation.
The Annual OB & Neonatal Teams Survey Is Now Live:
This is your team’s opportunity to share what you need and how ILPQC can best support you in your QI journey. We ask that every hospital complete this survey. Please coordinate across your OB and Neonatal initiatives so one person submits on behalf of your hospital. Deadline: Thursday, September 17. Your input is essential!
