Description: The CAST Lighting TEAM will lead the classes and cover key electrical topics such as amps, ohms, and volts, as well as the design and installation of wired systems. There will be hands-on exercises, where every participant will have the opportunity to work with the tools of the trade. They will also be conducting a round table for business strategies to lift up the industry for future success.

This course is packed with foundational knowledge for anyone who has been installing landscape lighting systems or is looking to get into the business. Hands-on training covers design basics, how to size wire, size transformers, make splices, locate shorts, prevent overloads, troubleshoot breakers, understand primary power and secondary power, understand Lux, lumens, foot candles, beam spreads, light levels, LED technology, etc. we cover it. Learn how your multimeter is your must-have tool, tricks of the trade, and best practices. Knowledge is powerful, deploying it correctly is why you are in business, make effective use of your labor. Greg’s roots in the landscaping industry run deep — he began working alongside his father in the family business as a child and never looked back. For more than a decade, he has passionately trained and mentored landscape contractors, helping them refine their skills in design and construction.

Known for developing innovative installation techniques and efficiency-boosting tools, Greg has made a lasting impact on the industry. As the owner of DGS Consulting, he served for years as an independent Water Feature and Landscape Illumination Specialist, educating hundreds of contractors nationwide.

Today, Greg continues to share his expertise and industry insight as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager at CAST Lighting, LLC.

Nick Grillo, Business Development Manager of CAST Lighting, LLC

Nick Grillo is a seasoned sales professional with more than 15 years of experience focused on driving growth and cultivating long-term client relationships. He began his career in the field, spending a decade as a Landscape Foreman where he led crews, managed projects, and gained firsthand industry expertise before transitioning into sales.

Over the past two years, Nick has concentrated on landscape lighting, receiving direct technical and hands-on training from CAST owner Dave Beausoleil. His combined field experience and sales background enable him to provide practical, performance-focused lighting solutions that deliver real results.
