Hopkinton Organizing for Prevention and Hopkinton Youth & Family Services invite you to a free Recovery Month event featuring "I'll Never Do That" , a powerful performance that takes you behind closed doors into one family’s battle with addiction. As one parent spirals deeper into substance use, the rest of the family struggles to hold on. This moving story reveals the complicated family dynamics, the difficult road to recovery, and the truth that addiction is a “family disease.”
The performance is presented by 2nd Act, a collective of artists in recovery who use theater, film, and drama therapy to spark dialogue, challenge stigma, and inspire change in diverse and inclusive communities.
This program is recommended for adults and teens. Admission is free, but registration is encouraged.
