Cedar String Quartet

Formed at the beginning of their music studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Cedar Quartet have received coaching from some of the world’s leading chamber musicians, including Donald Grant (Elias String Quartet) Henk Guittart (Schoenberg Quartet) and Pavel Fischer (Skampa Quartet).

Over the last year of playing together, the Cedar Quartet have enjoyed rehearsing and taking part in masterclasses; a particular highlight was preparing a Mendelssohn Quartet and being placed Highly Commended in the Nossek Prize, where Donald Grant commented on their very beautiful and hugely promising performance.

This year, the Cedar Quartet are looking forward to continuing their chamber studies together within college. They are particularly looking forward to participating in The Chilingirian String Ensemble Course this Easter.
