Ikebana and Watercolour Workshop

Spend a calm and creative afternoon exploring flowers through two art forms. Joyce will guide you through traditional Japanese Ikebana, and Frank will help you translate floral forms into expressive watercolour. No experience is needed—choose one session or enjoy the complete journey.

Ikebana Only: 1:15pm–2:45pm

Watercolour Only: 3:00pm–4:30pm

Learn key Ikebana principles through a live demonstration.

Create and refine your seasonal arrangement with Joyce’s feedback.

Explore composition, colour mixing and brushwork with Frank.

Paint an A5 watercolour inspired by your arrangement or one prepared by Joyce.

Ikebana guests: fresh flowers from their arrangement, carefully wrapped by Joyce.

Watercolour guests: a finished A5 painting in an aperture card.

All materials are provided. Vases and kenzan remain in the studio.

Bringing your own watercolour tools is optional.

Joyce (Jiale) Feng is the founder of Joyce The Florist and a certified Master Instructor of the Ohara School of Ikebana. Her calm guidance makes line, balance and harmony approachable.

Frank Leung is a Liverpool-based artist and tutor with over a decade of teaching experience. His friendly, step-by-step approach helps beginners paint with confidence.

Live demonstration, composition and colour guidance, A5 painting and personal feedback.

Full-workshop guests enjoy both sessions, with a short break in between.
