Learn Indian food receipe from home chefs. The theme for this event is Diwali, we bring the candles, lights, flowers and warmth before the cold winters sets in.
Diwali is typically a week long celebration with kids enjoying school breaks, extended family gathering lasting the entire festive week. Families stock food and snacks upfront for the larger audiences typically preparing 7-8 home made snacks that last an entire week. Some healthy some calorie rich but all of them super loaded with love and warmth.
This event we prepare typical Diwali snack box and a hearty dinner. While we keep dinner relatively simple for this session, our main focus is the 5-6 receipe snackbox shown in pictures.
We will publish individual elements of the snackbox to this post one per day.

PS : It would be convenient for the participants to bring two takeaway boxes about a 1/2 kg box for savories and 1/4 kg for sweets. We start a bit early than usual.
Schedule :
Meet at 1 pm : Light lunch - Steamed idli sambar
2pm - 4pm : Prepare snack-boxes
5pm - 6pm : Cards, Candles and Colors
6pm : Light Dinner - Rice with mung, kadhi( yoghurt based stew) and okra
