Join us for a second edition of the Decolonizing Mindsets for Security in Europe Forum. In this iteration, the cultural dimension of decolonisation will be in focus.
Historically, culture was used as a powerful tool of both colonial ambitions and national resistance against the erasure of collective identity. From global trends and best practices in cultural rightful retribution to making space for formerly repressed and colonised voices, we invite you to join us in discussion on the latest crucial movements in cultural resistance to Russian colonialism and its implications in the broader geopolitical context.
We will be joined by experts from across Scandinavia, Eastern and Western Europe, including:
🔹 Tetyana Filevska – creative director of the Ukrainian Institute and researcher of Ukrainian art of the 20th century. Among all else, Tetyana will present, for the first time, the Ukrainian Institute’s new Decolonising guide for Museums, focusing on recognising and resisting Russian colonialism.
🔹 Fred Rosen – director of the Nordic Center for Cultural Heritage and Armed Conflict, Adjunct Associate Professor at Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies at the University of Copenhagen.
🔹 Kateryna Botanova – cultural critic, curator, writer focusing on decoloniality in art and culture in Eastern Europe and the Global South.
🔹 Annika Hvithamar – head of the Institute of Regional / Cross Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen.

Запрошуємо вас на другий форум “Деколонізація світоглядів для безпеки в Європі”. Цього разу центральною темою форуму буде культурний вимір деколонізації.
Історично культура використовувалася як важливий інструмент як колоніальних амбіцій, так і національного опору проти стирання колективної ідентичності. На цьому форумі, ми поговоримо про тенденції й практики культурної реституції й створення простору для раніше репресованих та колонізованих голосів, а також які існують сучасні рухи культурного спротиву російському колоніалізму та їхній геополітичний вплив.
Спікери:
🔹 Тетяна Філевська – креативна директорка Українського інституту, дослідниця українського мистецтва ** століття. Вона вперше презентуватиме Деколонізаційний гід для музеїв, який допомагатиме культурним інституціям розпізнавати та протидіяти російському колоніалізму.
🔹 Фред Розен – директор Північного центру культурної спадщини та збройних конфліктів, доцент кафедри міжкультурних та регіональних досліджень Копенгагенського університету.
🔹 Катерина Ботанова – культурна критикиня, кураторка, письменниця, що досліджує деколоніальність у мистецтві та культурі Східної Європи та Глобального Півдня.
🔹 Анніка Гвітхамар – керівниця Інституту регіональних та міжкультурних досліджень Копенгагенського університету.
