Location: Mount Cristo Rey
Meet up location: Mount Cristo Rey Parking Lot
Join us for a hike up Mount Cristo Rey. Once we are at the top we will discuss a birds eye view of the geology in the surrounding areas. We will discuss various igenous bodies and structures. In collaboration with the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Resource Sciences.
Distance: 5 miles
Duration: ~5 hours
Difficulty: Strenuous
Best for: Children 10 and over
IMPORTANT: The trail can get steep in some areas.
Requirements & What to Bring
- 3-4 liters of water
- Healthy snacks or energy bars
- Hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers
- Hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses
- Light jacket and small backpack
