IFS Authentic Relating: Anger, Connection, and Joy

In this IFS-informed Authentic Relating workshop, I'll provide a brief overview of Internal Family Systems (IFS), which is a revolutionary way of looking at the mind - as consisting of parts, rather than being a single thing - and getting to know ourselves in a deep/authentic way. We'll then split up into rotating pairs for various IFS-informed Authentic Relating exercises, which will explore a wide spectrum of our experiences: Anger, Connection, and Joy. These exercises will enable us to deeply relate to each other in a parts-aware way - by speaking to each other about our various parts, and allowing our parts to be truly heard and witnessed by another.

This location is metro accessible, and street parking is available. Seating is a mixture of couches and floor space - yoga mats are available for those on the floor.

Doors open at 1:45. Please give yourself extra time for DC-area commuting - we'd like to start the event promptly at 2:00. Allergy Note: There is a cat in the house.

Terry Baranski is an Internal Family Systems practitioner who works 1-on-1, with couples, and in groups, with people all over the world to address their mental health challenges. IFS is an approach to therapy and self-growth which offers a unique perspective on the mind - one that opens the door to self-compassion and self-understanding rather than judgment and shame.
