Az Idétlen időkig (angolul Groundhog Day) egy klasszikus romantikus vígjáték–filozófiai dráma egyszerre viccesen és elgondolkodtatóan mutatja be ezt a jelenséget, mára igazi kultuszfilm lett.
Ennél már csak az izgalmasabb, hogy vendégünk lesz Lackfi János író, költő és műfordító, akivel Madarász Istil fog beszélgetni a filmről, és mindenről, ami közben eszükbe jut. :)

A történet:
Az időjós Phil önző, cinikus szűklátókörű alak, aki utálja a világot és pokollá teszi mások életét. Amikor vidékről kell tudósítania, már alig várja, hogy visszatérhessen Pittsburghbe a "száműzetéséből". Ebben azonban megakadályozza a váratlan hóvihar, amelyről azt jósolta, hogy nagy ívben elkerüli a környéket. Másnap reggel különös dolog történik vele: úgy érzi megismétlődik vele az előző nap, minden nyomorúságával együtt. A következő nap sem változik a helyzet, megint minden újra megismétlődik. A kétségbeesett Phil orvoshoz, majd pszichiáterhez fordul segítségért.

The plot:
Phil, the weatherman, is a selfish, cynical, narrow-minded man who hates the world and makes other people’s lives miserable. When he has to report from the countryside, he can hardly wait to return to Pittsburgh from his “exile.” However, an unexpected snowstorm prevents him from leaving—ironically, the very storm he had predicted would completely avoid the area.
The next morning, something strange happens: he feels as though the previous day is repeating itself, along with all its misery. The same thing happens the following day—everything repeats again. In his desperation, Phil seeks help first from a doctor and then from a psychiatrist.
