Isabelle Beech is a vibrant young abstract artist who was recently selected as Young Artist in Residence 2025–2026, a programme funded by Rotherham Museums, Arts and Heritage and Children’s Capital of Culture. As part of the residency, Isabelle has been developing a new body of work to be displayed at Clifton Park Museum. The exhibition celebration will take place on 28th February at 2pm, which is free and open to the public, with the opportunity to meet the artists and hear about the exhibition from Isabelle Beech.
She is currently being mentored by Doncaster-based artist Rebecca Ellen Wright, who brings extensive experience in public art installations and community-led creative projects, particularly large-scale, visually striking works. Together, they have been working closely on the development of Isabelle’s exhibition, Identity, while Rebecca has also created a new artwork especially for the show.
The exhibition explores themes of identity, confidence and female expression, with Isabelle using bold, vivid colours to celebrate individuality and staying true to oneself. Both artists use expressive abstraction to explore their personal interpretations of female identity, creating a visually powerful and uplifting collection.
While the exhibition is still in progress, the museum’s Test Space is currently open, giving visitors a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into how a professional exhibition develops from concept to completion. The final exhibition will officially open on 28th February at 2pm at Clifton Park Museum (free entry).
