Barbara Russell has been gardening all of her life. She ran a market garden for many years in the summers through the 1990’s. She is a Master gardener, certified LakeSmart, and has a Permaculture Design Certificate. Her involvement with the St Joseph’s Nature Sanctuary is to promote permaculture principles for the betterment of the land. Teaching people to care and respond to the environment around them is one of her heartfelt needs to leave this place better than we found it.
