Idea-to-Pitch: Turn Your Innovative Idea into a Business Concept
About this Event
Join us for Idea-to-Pitch: Turn Your Innovative Idea into a Business Concept, a free, hands-on workshop on Tuesday, Nov 3, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Center for Entrepreneurship (Commons Building, Room 110)
What you will do
Use a simple framework to take an innovative idea and define what makes it different. Students will work in teams to write a 60-second pitch and revise it based on feedback. A few teams will then pitch to the full room. Dan Castles, CEO of Telestream, will open with the story of his own first pitch and coach teams during the event.
What you leave with
A written and delivered 60-second pitch, feedback from an experienced founder, and a clear path forward.
About the Center for Entrepreneurship
The Center for Entrepreneurship (CfE), offers workshops, mentoring from founders and alumni, space to work, and the annual Business Plan Competition, in which student teams develop an idea into a full business concept and present it to judges. The next competition is in spring 2027, and it is open to all majors.
