About this Event

Help us kick off the 2026-2027 IDEA Talks Season with hometown entrepreneur Trevor Mauch, CEO of Carrot.com and a special appearance by the founder of the world’s fastest growing sporting goods brand and sports art house!

Trevor Mauch knows firsthand that big ideas can come from small towns.

Raised in Klamath Falls, Trevor grew up working in his family’s local businesses, where he developed an entrepreneurial mindset rooted in hard work, creativity, and serving customers. After graduating from Oregon Institute of Technology with degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, he went on to build Carrot.com, a bootstrapped software company headquartered in Roseburg that has become one of the nation’s leading marketing platforms for real estate investors and agents. Under Trevor’s leadership, Carrot has earned a place on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies multiple times while helping thousands of entrepreneurs grow their businesses across North America. His very first entrepreneurial launch, Awesomely.com, was co-founded with a partner and is still serving thousands of customers every month over 15 years later.

He is also a past recipient of both the Presidents Cup in Entrepreneurship and the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award at Oregon Tech, both of which make his mother proud as he actually used his degree to turn "this entrepreneur stuff" into marketable skills.

But Trevor’s impact extends far beyond the company he built. Passionate about helping entrepreneurs create businesses that provide both freedom and purpose, he has become a nationally recognized speaker, podcast host, and advocate for entrepreneurial ecosystem development. In Roseburg, he helped launch the Young Entrepreneurs Society and The Loft Entrepreneur Co-Workspace - initiatives that have transformed the city’s entrepreneurial culture and demonstrated that rural communities can become hubs of innovation when local leaders invest in people and ideas.

For this IDEA Talk, Trevor returns to his hometown as part of a special series celebrating entrepreneurs whose roots began here before their businesses flourished elsewhere. Along with our surprise special guest - also a hometown entrepreneur - this IDEA Talk features stories that are a reminder that while entrepreneurial journeys may lead people beyond Klamath County, the values, resilience, and ambition cultivated here can become the foundation for remarkable success - and can inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs to dream just as big.
