In Memory of Those We Loved and Lost in 2025:Among the many great talents lost to the world in 2025 were Robert Redford, David Lynch, and Diane Keaton. Join the ICFS team at Proctors as we honor and celebrate some of their most memorable work.
David Lynch was a singular visionary whose fearless imagination and mastery of unsettling, dreamlike imagery reshaped contemporary film language. His work pushed audiences to look past surface comforts and confront the strange and often disturbing truths beneath. “Blue Velvet” is a haunting neo-noir that begins when Jeffrey Beaumont discovers a severed ear in a field and is drawn into a dark underworld inhabited by the enigmatic Dorothy Vallens and the terrifying Frank Booth. Equal parts beautiful and disturbing, the film’s surreal atmosphere, bold storytelling, and Lynch’s uncompromising style made it a landmark of modern American cinema.
Rated R. 120 minutes.
