SKATING SESSIONS ARE NON REFUNDABLE AND CANNOT BE SWAPPED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
Please arrive in good time for your sessions. If you are late we cannot swap for another session. Â
Entry to the site is ÂŁ1pp regardless if you have brought a ticket to skate.
HEALTH AND SAFETYThe following policies have been created for your safety. Please ensure that you have read and acknowledged them before taking to the ice and listen to all instructions from our ice marshals and other event staff. We hold the right to refuse entry or remove anyone not complying with these policies.
Skater’s Code of Conduct The management will not be responsible for any loss or injury incurred. Skaters and Spectators understand and agree to the following, By engaging in skating, both skaters and spectators are deemed to have knowledge of, and assume the risk of skating which includes but is not limited to:
• Injuries that result from collision or contact with other skaters or other individuals who are on the skating surface.
• Injuries that result from falls.
• Injuries involve objects or artificial structures that are within the properly intended path of travel of the skater.
While all reasonable measures are in place to ensure your safety, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of the safety information prior to entering the rink. It is your responsibility to bring to the attention of the Ice Marshal any event or act which may impact on your safety while skating. If you are new to skating or have young children it is best to take them during a time when the rink is less crowded. Please contact and we can recommend a suitable time to take your children.
Skaters and Spectators also agree to:• Maintain reasonable control of their speed at all times.
• Maintain a proper lookout to avoid other skaters, objects or conditions on the surface of the rink.
• Accept responsibility for knowing the range of their abilities while on skates, and skate within the limits of that ability and as appropriate to the session on which they are skating.
• Refrain from skating whilst under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other control impairing substances.
• Leave the surface of the ice when resurfacing maintenance is taking place, when sessions end or as directed by staff.
• Refrain from taking food and drink onto the rink surface.
• Refrain from acting in a manner that may cause or contribute to injury of themselves or any other person.
• Refrain from instigating or becoming involved in any type of altercations with any other skater or spectator and engaging in abusive, abrasive, disorderly conduct or other anti-social behaviour.
• Not sit, climb or put feet on the barrier.
Furthermore• Anti-social behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and those responsible will be asked to leave the rink with no refund given.
• Skaters asked to leave or be removed from the Ice Rink area will not be refunded for their session fee if breaking this Code of Conduct.
• Any persons, who in the opinion of the Ice Marshals, represent a danger to themselves or others will be asked to leave the rink.
• Any persons whose behaviour may be deemed as likely to cause offence to others will be asked to leave the rink.
• When your session has ended you will be directed to the exit point by the Ice Marshal and Public Address system. Please exit the rink in an orderly manner.
• If your child is a young toddler they may not fully understand all of the rules and we also ask parents to keep extra close eye on your little one at all times.
• Always pay attention to the skaters around you and pay special attention to skaters ahead of you as they cannot see you coming.
• You are required to skate in an anti-clockwise direction, however on some occasions the staff may instruct all skaters to skate in a clockwise direction. Please ensure that you are skating in the correct direction at all times.
DO'S
Do always listen to and obey the instructions given by our ice marshals or staff
Do put your skates on in the skate changing area, using the seating provided
Do bring your own skates if you have them
Do keep away from the ice area when resurfacing is taking place
Do skate in an anti-clockwise direction unless directed otherwise
Do put litter in bins provided
Do ensure your skates are fitted correctly
Do wear suitable attire (warm socks, coat, hat, scarf, gloves, etc)
Do try to keep noise to an acceptable level (i.e no screaming)
Do report any accidents to a member of staff
DON'TS
Do not smoke/vape anywhere at the ice rink and do not litter
Do not go on the ice without skates
Do not wear “hoodies” with the hood up
Do not take mobile phones, bags, cameras or similar devices onto the ice
Do not eat, drink or chew on the ice
Do not play tag or any other games on the ice
Do not sit or climb on the rink barrier
Do not skate across the middle of the ice or against the flow of other skaters
Do not skate in “chains’ or “trains” which are three or more people holding each-other as they skate. Note: Two persons holding hands is allowed
Do not chip, throw or spray the ice
Do not carry children and infants
Do not stand still or gather in groups whilst on the ice
Don’t spin, jump or attempt acrobatic tricks, these aren’t allowed on the rink
