About this Event
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is hosting an ice-fishing seminar to get new and beginning ice anglers ready to step onto the ice this season! Our biologists will cover the basics of ice fishing and share sportfish-species-specific insight into a few Uintah Basin reservoirs. This seminar is a great opportunity for anyone interested in getting into ice fishing, new to ice fishing, or interested in picking up a few tips on targeting specific fish species through the ice.
What to expect:
- We will cover the basics of ice fishing including ice safety, winter angler access, equipment, lure selection, fish biology and fishing techniques.
- We will cover basic tips to get you started and advice for targeting specific species.
- We will discuss a few specific angling opportunities at some sites most likely to get ice this season.
- Time for Q&A at the end.
