About this Event

Sir Ian Rankin in Conversation with Professor Siân Reynolds

How does the pace, setting and jargon typical of crime fiction get carried across from one language and cultural context to another? What are the challenges of translating in that genre from French to English and vice versa? Join us for a unique opportunity to hear Sir Ian Rankin discussing such topics with Professor Siân Reynolds, experienced translator of French crime writing. The event will be chaired by Jenny Brown, Literary Agent. Duration: 1h | Followed by a verre de convivialité.
