Honey Run is a husband-and-wife bluegrass duo from the small town of Sonora, CA. Owen Ragland and Kat Baker alternate vocals, mandolin, fiddle, and guitar. The group plays a variety of new takes on traditional songs as well as original bluegrass and folk music. The full sound that accompanies the thoughtful lyrics and catchy melodies ranges from tender to downright fun. Their storytelling and friendly banter brings the audience into the worlds of their songs.
Owen brings a heavy bluegrass background to all of his playing. Having the great fortune of being the son of a mandolin/guitar picker and a banjo player, he has developed a gritty lean-in playing style unlike any other. Kat began her musical journey busking on the streets of Columbia, CA as a kid. Along with her catalog of catchy heartfelt original songs and thoughtful picking, and her voice has a strong oldtime quality that rarely fails to turn ears and heads. In 2020 Owen and Kat found themselves living together and began playing live streams in the depth of the pandemic. As the pandemic began to wind down, Honey Run began touring as a bluegrass duo playing across California, Oregon, Washington and even in British Columbia.
Their first full length album, Days Gone By 2025, is available now and tells the story of many lives through original songs assembled by the multi-instrumentalist duo.

Flatpick Hotel is a guitar passion project of Ian Ly and Owen Ragland. The duo was formed out of a mutual love for the bluegrass flat-picked guitar discovered over late nights jaming. Ian and Owen met at CBA Father's day in 2022 and became quick friends, bonding over their love for picking fiddle tunes on the guitar. This show is to celebrate the digital release of their Debut album.
Ian Ly has been wowing audiences all over the world as the guitarist for The Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band. As one of the best guitar pickers from the west coast of this era his picking style is like a freight train, uniform, clear, and fast. While attending college in his birth state of Kansas, Ian began competing in the Walnut Valley National Flatpick Contest; he is the 2023 National Flat Pick Guitar Champion.
Owen Ragland is no slouch either, a fiddle player turned guitarist who has performed with such as Honey Run, The Brothers Strong, Poor Man's Whiskey, and many others, he has developed a dynamic and interesting playing style. His picking is unique and explosive, developed over years of performing across the western US.
Together the group is truly an experiment in excellent players pushing each other to do interesting and creative things with their instrument. It is a niche style, but if you loved the Blake & Rice Albums, or the Doc Watson and Tony Rice recordings, this is the show for you.
