Ian Livingston is a jazz trumpeter from Shepherdstown, WV, currently residing in the New Jersey/NYC area. Ian plays jazz heavily influenced by the bebop music of the 1940's and 50's, his favorite musicians being Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Fats Navarro. Despite this omnipresent influence, streaks of his more modern heroes (Freddie Hubbard, Nicholas Payton, John Swana, Jeremy Pelt) are also very prevalent throughout his playing. Ian has studied under incredible musicians including John Swana and Jeremy Pelt and has performed in NYC, WV, and the DMV area. .
