BIO:
A Candyrat recording artist, Case has quickly become recognized as "one of the most creative and engaging fingerstyle guitarists in the world" (The International Center for Creativity.) His unmistakable, one-of-a-kind playing style and compositional voice have drawn praise from icons such as John McLaughlin (Mahavishnu Orchestra), bassist Lee Sklar (James Taylor), Windham Hill Records founder Will Ackermann, and fingerstyle guitar godfather Don Ross, who declared his live performance "some of the most massively inventive musicianship I've ever heard/seen." Other listeners have described his music as a cross between Michael Hedges, Steve Reich, and Pat Metheny.
His newly-launched Open Land Trio places his extremely individual playing style and unique compositional and orchestrational aesthetic into a more improvisational, grooving, and harmonically dynamic musical context, brought to life by some of the most talented and accomplished players of the new generation.
"“F*****g unbelievable… some of the best music I have ever heard… this trio is scrumptious!!! Just blown away…”
Jeff Pevar (David Crosby, Ray Charles, James Taylor)
