‘I Am Only Human’ Filmmaking Course “Tell Us Your Story!”We are proud to announce the 7th annual Recovery Festival, taking place on 21–23 November 2025 across Portsmouth. This year’s event continues our mission to raise awareness around mental health, addiction, and trauma, while celebrating recovery, resilience, and community through the power of film and storytelling.
At the heart of the festival is the acclaimed ‘I Am Only Human’ Free Filmmaking Course, now in its 5th year, which gives individuals in recovery the chance to write, direct, and produce their own short films. These deeply personal stories will premiere as part of the festival’s headline event.

Duration: 10 weeks 10.30pm-1pm
Venue: Southsea Cinema
Open to: Individuals in recovery or affected by addiction
