Sometimes, a piece of glass speaks for itself. Perhaps it’s a bold sweep of colour, a swirling pattern, or the unexpected beauty of a uniquely rolled edge. The challenge becomes: how do you cut into something that is already beautiful all on its own? Sometimes, you simply don’t!
Instead, explore the possibilities of layering, plating, and embellishing glass to preserve the qualities that first caught your eye. By combining glass with sheet copper, mirror, dimensional details, and found forms, you’ll discover new ways to build depth, texture, and visual interest without sacrificing the natural character of the glass.
In this one-day workshop, participants will work with Youghiogheny rolled glass ends, copper sheet and foil, mirror, box frames, and detailed animal forms to create a one-of-a-kind, 8-inch x 10-inch framed landscape that balances material, composition, and personal expression.
All project materials are included.
When: Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10 am to 4 pm
Fee: $225 + HST (includes all project materials)
Previous glass-cutting and soldering experience required.
