I Know A Place

Come Play With Me's annual conference, I Know A Place, is back! Join us at Leeds City Museum on January 31st 2025 as we champion diversity and equity in the music industry through interactive panels, workshops and networking. I Know A Place is focused around supporting emerging artists, industry professionals and creative practitioners from marginalised communities. The conference aims to create a safe space for underrepresented communities to come together and discuss topics that affect them.

Option 1 - General Admission - £4

This ticket will grant you access to the I Know A Place conference. If you are experiencing financial restrictions and are not able to purchase a ticket but would still like to attend, please contact us at [email protected]

Option 2 - General Admission + Good Night Out Training - £10

This ticket will grant you access to the conference and the Good Night Out Training advertised above. This course, delivered at a greatly discounted rate, provides training relating to creating safer spaces for marginalised communities when running and promoting events or working in event spaces. This training is designed to support emerging promoters, venue staff and anyone working within the live events sector.

Option 3 - Pay It Forward - £15

ACCESS

How to find and enter Leeds City Museum

Leeds City Museum is located on Millennium Square in Leeds city centre, located 0.4 miles from Leeds railway station and 0.6 miles from Leeds bus station. The museum is on a graduated slope, upward from the direction of the train station or downward if you are approaching from Woodhouse Lane.

Entrances

There are two entrances to the museum. The main entrance is accessed via steps with a handrail, or by a ramp (the bottom of the ramp is on the left of the building as you face it).

The main entrance has two double doors. The double doors on the left are automated with a press button, and they open outwards.

Inside the main entrance, you will be greeted by a Visitor Assistant who will explain which galleries are on which floor. You can download a floor plan of the Museum here (PDF). The Museum has four floors which are all accessed by stairs or a lift. The lift on the ground floor is on the left.

Alternatively, you can enter the museum at lower ground level through the café. The automated doors with a push button are located on the left and they open outwards.
