In I Got Rhythm, The Hague music ensemble Soundwave Collective, Dutch-American actor Alexander Tol, Canadian singer Shanice Skinner, and French pianist Nathalia Milstein celebrate the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin's most famous composition, Rhapsody in Blue. From wailing clarinets to swinging jazz rhythms: music, theater, and atmosphere come together in a hefty hour to share the story of the Harlem Renaissance, Gershwin's boundless fascination with the (street and folk) arts in early twentieth-century New York, and the power of cultural exchange.
