Welcome to HYROX PFT!
The HYROX PFT (Physical Fitness Test) is a fitness benchmark designed by HYROX to help participants assess their fitness level and prepare for the official HYROX race. It is a condensed version of the full HYROX competition, focusing on functional strength, endurance, and mental resilience.
1. What is the HYROX PFT?
The HYROX PFT consists of a series of bodyweight and functional exercises combined with running intervals, mirroring the structure of the HYROX race. It challenges your cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, and overall work capacity, providing a snapshot of your readiness for HYROX events.
2. Structure of the HYROX PFT
The PFT typically involves 6 exercises performed for time, alternating with running. A common example of a HYROX PFT includes:
1. 1,000m Run
2. 50 Burpee Broad Jumps
3. 1,000m Run
4. 100 Air Squats
5. 1,000m Run
6. 100 Hand-Release Push-Ups
7. 1,000m Run
8. 100 Walking Lunges
Participants aim to complete the test as quickly as possible, with the total time serving as the score.
3. What Does the HYROX PFT Measure?
Aerobic Capacity: Through repeated running intervals.
Strength Endurance: With bodyweight and functional exercises.
Mental Toughness: Managing fatigue while maintaining consistent effort.
Race Preparation: It simulates the demands of a HYROX race.
