** Due to extreme cold Saturday am, we are rescheduling Hyggefest to Sunday. We hope some of you can still make it. Come embrace the cozy spirit of Hygge with Madison Trailrunners at Hyggefest 2026—a winter day in New Glarus dedicated to warm companionship, invigorating trails, delicious food, and well-deserved relaxation. Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is a Danish concept of enjoying cozy, pleasant togetherness. We're bringing this feeling to the trails and beyond!
8:00 AM Fat Cat Coffee (606 Railroad St, New Glarus, WI 53574)
*Warm up with fresh coffee, pastries, and good company
9:00 AM/10:00 AM Sugar River State Trail Runs
*Join us for one or two out-and-back runs (5ish miles each) on the Sugar River State Trail
*9:00 AM & 10:00 AM starts at Fat Cat Coffee
*Choose your distance and pace. You can run shorter or longer
11:00 AM Sugar River Pizza
*Refuel with hot, delicious pizza and local craft beer (non-alcoholic beverages available)
12:30 PM Sauna, Steam, Hot Tub, & Saltwater Pool @ Chalet Landhaus Inn
*The ultimate Hygge! Relax and recover in the communal sauna, steam room, hot tub, and pool.
*$12.50 a person
