Begin with a guided meditation for brain health led by Lea Kraemer, followed by a guided Mahjong lesson with Janet Li.Designed for both beginners and experienced players, this class introduces the classic game of Mahjong in a relaxed, social setting.We start with meditation to focus the mind and prepare for intentional attention, then learn the fundamentals of Mahjong and how the game is played.Mahjong was popularized in China in the late 1800s, though variations of the game date back to the 1300s.Between games, enjoy the rhythmic sound of tiles gently shuffling, often said to echo the chatter of sparrows. Tea and treats included.Lea Kraemer is the Head of Yoga Therapy at Live Your Best Life. She leads therapeutic yoga at LYBL, developing structured, condition-specific programs that support healing through movement, breathwork, and nervous system regulation.Janet Li is a Hong Kong native who grew up watching her aunties and grandparents play Mahjong with friends and neighbors, experiencing it as a source of connection. Today, she teaches Mahjong to foster connection within her own community as a means of supporting wellness and mental health
