Hybrid Instructor I Clatsop County

This is a hybrid NFPA Fire Instructor 1 course presented by DPSST. Before registration please create a ResourceOne account (IFSTA Account - Login). Once registration is complete you will be enrolled into the online pre-course work. Students will complete all modules with quizzes and tests. Prior to the in person portion of the course, students must have 80% or higher on all tests and complete all course work. The student will need to arrive to the first day with a five minute presentation prepared, the presentation should not be related to the fire service. The 2-day in person class will be full of activities and review of course materials. This course offers the knowledge to be an outstanding instructor and presenter. If the home agency does not have the current version IFSTA text book available please reach out so I can loan a copy to you.

• Dress for the class is business casual or Class B uniform.
• Students will have a task book initiated but will not be completely signed off.
• Class will be held 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch both days.
• Students must be affiliated with an Oregon Fire Department.
• Minimum 12 people or class will be postponed until we have more interest.
