The Old Woodbury Historical Society will be hosting its Annual Tavern Night Fundraiser at the Hurd House Museum on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 7 – 10 p.m. Visitors can enjoy samples of popular colonial drinks, light refreshments, and entertainment as they take a step back to experience an evening in Colonial Woodbury. This event has become a favorite for all visitors as the museum comes to life for the evening, complete with candlelight and fireside seating. Built in 1680, the Hurd House Museum, located at 25 Hollow Rd, Woodbury, is the oldest home in Litchfield County on its original foundation. The Old Woodbury Historical Society is an entirely volunteer organization that owns and operates the Hurd House Museum. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the continued works of the OWHS, including the preservation of the Hurd House, free school programs, and an annual scholarship.
Admission to this fundraiser is $40 per person (21 and over) for the evening.
