Every month people who love the environment meet up at informal sessions formerly known as Green Drinks. This has been changed to Green Thinks to ensure everyone feels welcome, no drinking required. There’s always a slightly different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organizing network. No need to register, just come as you are! We meet on the Clinton St patio of Yellowhammer Brewing, weather permitting.
Alexis Quinn of Quinn Wildlife Sanctuary will be giving a tiny talk about their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate native wildlife, particularly bird life, across Alabama. We will learn about small actions you can take to help wildlife at home and what to do if you find injured wildlife.
Quinn Wildlife Sanctuary was created with one mission: to heal, protect, and return Alabama's native wildlife to their natural habitats while inspiring people to safeguard the ecosystems we all share.
Quinn Wildlife Sanctuary will begin with a focus on raptors, the hawks, owls, and eagles that define Alabama's skies. What started as a dream to give injured wildlife a second chance has grown into a mission of rescue, education, and conservation. Though our public doors are not yet open, our work is already underway, guided by expertise provided by the Auburn Raptor Center and the Alabama Wildlife Center.
