HUNTERS are excited to announce the first official collaboration and venture with Park Run UK.
As part of us giving back to the community and spreading the word about the HUB, HUNTERS are doing a “take over” of Wynyard parkrun on Saturday 29th March.
We will be aiming to fill all the volunteer roles from HUB members (& coaches). All the roles are very straightforward.
The plan is for us all to volunteer for parkrun and then as 1 big HUB group do the 5km Wynyard route together.
It will need a dozen or so people. Some
at or near the finish line, some out on the course, there are then other roles where you can parkrun and volunteer.
We are looking for:
2 timekeepers - just need to use the volunteer app on your phone and click on your screen when someone crossed the line.

1 funnel manager - makes sure people keep in the order they crossed the line in until they get a finish token
1 finish token : gives out the finish token
2 barcode scanners : use the same volunteer app and scan athlete bar code and then their finish token (if you can self scan in Tesco this is easier!)
5/6 marshals on the course : mainly clapping and encouragement, in the unlikely event of an incident then contact the run director
First timers welcome : follow a script and tell newcomers about the course
Pre course check : check the course is safe.
Tailwalker (we have a volunteer for This already)
Pre course set up /shut down : just setting up the finish funnel
The run director will be an existing wynyard run director.

Using the app is really easy, we can practice beforehand.
It would be great to see as many HUB members there as possible whether it’s to run, volunteer or just spectate. The date is on Team Up so you can register right now.
