Hunter Muskett was formed by Terry Hiscock, Chris George and Doug Morter in 1969 as a folk/rock trio playing the folk circuit alongside Fotheringay, Fairport, Pentangle and Steeleye. Following their 1970 album release, Every Time You Move, recorded with Pentangle's Danny Thompson, Rog Trevitt joined on bass guitar. Following a successful UK concert tour with Ralph McTell, the band went their separate ways in 1974 but later reformed when Cherry Red released the albums on CD in 2012. They are now performing many of their earlier songs, alongside a new repertoire of acoustic driven material. Reunited once again the band are meeting old friends and new everywhere they play and now with two albums of new songs and a third on the way, they're finding themselves back in demand.The evening will start with a set from Keith Pearson's Hat-Trick. Country/Folk, great musicianship This act has evolved through years of musicianship and friendship, showcasing the combined experience of these three artists who have performed to audiences around the world; from County Music Festivals in Australia to the nightclubs of Ibiza. Theirs is a unique performance of original songs, drawing on traditional and contemporary styles. Keith (banjo) is a singer/songwriter who started out as a solo artist touring Folk Clubs and bringing his music to festivals and venues in the UK and Europe. More recently he was best known in the UK as the front man of 'Coup de Grass'. Phil Milner (bass) is an experienced session player and singer, able to take on anything from Bluegrass to Soul, Jazz, Blues and even Hard Rock. He has also toured all over Britain on the Folk circuit. Over time, Phil has played everywhere from India to South America. Nigel Fear (guitar) is an accomplished guitarist and pedal steel player and thoroughly good chap. He has played in several bands local to Cambridge, and spent a number of years as a professional musician in Spain where he played with the resident band at the Casino de Ibiza backing many well-known artists.
