Join us at the Coyote Twin for the third FREE screening honoring Native American Heritage Month – Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016).
From writer and director Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit) comes this hilarious, heartfelt New Zealand adventure comedy.
When rebellious foster kid Ricky Baker finds himself living with his grumpy foster uncle Hec in the New Zealand countryside, things take an unexpected turn. Soon, the unlikely duo are on the run in the wilderness, sparking a nationwide manhunt. Can they survive the bush, the authorities, and each other?
Starring Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, RIP 😢), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Rima Te Wiata, and Rachel House, Hunt for the Wilderpeople is a funny and touching story about family, belonging, and finding your place in the world.
🌿 Fun film fact: The movie is based on the 1986 New Zealand novel Wild Pork and Watercress by Barry Crump. It also became the highest-grossing New Zealand film at the time of its release.
Thanks to our generous sponsors Vermillion Area Community Foundation and Clayton & Odessa Lang Ofstad Foundation, every guest can enjoy a FREE small popcorn and small pop during the screening!
Bring a friend, grab your free snacks, and enjoy this quirky adventure on the big screen. The screening is FREE and open to the entire community.
