🎬 For the first time in Berlin, Hungarian Rainbow presents a three-day film festival showcasing contemporary LGBTQIA+ cinema from Hungary — exploring themes of social justice, human rights, and freedom of expression. The screenings take place in the presence of filmmakers, followed by Q&As. After the screenings, join us for a panel discussion with invited experts!
🎟️ Ticket sales begin soon!
All income will be donated to Budapest Pride and the Berlin-based ABqueer e.V.
⚡️ Why this festival?
Hungarian Rainbow is a response to recent developments in Hungary. Last year, the Hungarian Parliament passed a law banning the Pride parade — a demonstration that had raised awareness for LGBTQIA+ issues for over 30 years.
The decision sparked protests across Europe and a wave of solidarity. Despite the ban, Budapest saw one of the largest Pride marches in its history, with over 200,000 participants.
