This year our work with Alysn will be based on the work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser (although you are free to use your own inspiration) and will be using Angelina fibres, which are well known for their iridescent lustre and simplicity of use) and metal to create a panel for adding to further work or as a stand alone piece. Finished with machine or hand stitch, couched accent threads. With simple goldwork in the mix and a smattering of beads, this could be either a pretty, subtle or dramatic panel with ideas to expand your techniques and to use on other projects. This can be adjusted for hand and/or machine stitching.
Alysn loves to use design inspiration from the artist Hundertwasser, his layered, organic forms suit this technique, though you are free to use your own ideas.
This 3 day class costs £250 and you can reserve your place with a 50% non-refundable deposit (your deposit will be returned in full if we are unable to supply the class) with the balance to be paid by Saturday 18th October.
A requirements list will be available nearer the time and there will be plenty of materials for you to purchase to add to your work.
