Hummingbird Hangout

Did you know August is the best time to see hummingbirds? As they prepare to migrate thousands of miles to their winter destination in Central America, they are visiting every sugar water feeder they can. Now is a perfect time to hang out in Plum Creek Nature Center’s hummingbird courtyard! Bring your chair and be one with the hummingbirds as they fly around our hummingbird nectar buffet.
Drop in anytime during the hangout. Stay an hour or all morning — it’s up to you. A roving naturalist will share hummingbird facts and answer questions about these speedy sugar fiends! Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
Fee: Free!
Age: All ages.
No registration required.
Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. The hike will be about 1 mile on a crushed limestone surface. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
