Human Trafficking in the Finger Lakes (NY)
About this Event
This extremely important conference will focus on human trafficking in the Finger Lake region- upstate NY. It will afford attendees an opportunity to connect with colleagues, share ideas, exchange information, and learn more about human trafficking from various perspective.
Many topics will be covered that are rarely discussed such as child labor trafficking in the US, how males are trafficked, trafficking in the Amish and Mennonite communities, trafficking of at-risk youth, how to help survivors heal, the growing crime of sextortion and how it effects our youth, identification in a healthcare system, how to build a trafficking case for law enforcement and more. Come hear experts in the field and those with 'lived experience'.
Due to this being a rarely looked topic, the two-day conference will allow the audience to attend each and every session on day one and then breakouts in their chosen profession on day two. The Conference will be both inperson as well as virtual.
