Adapted from the best-selling 1963 novel by the master of espionage fiction, John Le Carré's, (Tinker, Tailor Soldier, Spy; The Night Manager) hard-edged Cold War thriller, THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, tells the story of embittered undercover agent, Alec Leamas (Richard Burton) in a tense and dangerous operation to take down an East German operative.

For this special screening, author of Spies on Screen: From Silent to Streaming, Paul Burke, joins Nick Triplow to talk about the film, Le Carré’s source novel and his enduring influence on contemporary espionage writing.
