A festival of music for the people by the people, organised by the charity Folk in Hull. Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th if July, 2026
Join us for a weekend of live folk, roots and maritime music, singarounds, storytelling and community spirit, all set against Hull’s historic waterfront.
SATURDAY 4TH JULY 2026
1pm – 7pm – Hull and the region’s best folk and roots acts –
1.00pm: Jean Weatherill
2.00pm: Spare Hands
3.00pm: Carrie Martin
4.00pm: Rivers Johanssen
5.00pm: Emma Fee
6.00pm: Moon Moth
All ages, free entry on the door or book a free ticket online - entry is subject to venue capacity upon arrival
7pm – 11pm – a three-band bill, with festival headliners Hillbilly Troupe
Age of entry 14+ (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult 18+) free entry on the door or book a free ticket online - entry is subject to venue capacity upon arrival
7:30pm BUCKFAST TRAMP
We turn nice traditional folk songs into punk-esque nightmares and pay homage to the gods of the folk-punk world. Definitely not a cult.
8:30pm ELLIE POLLARD AND FRIENDS
Acoustic/Contemporary Folk Artist from Yorkshire. Known for her raw, powerhouse vocal and emotive songwriting style.
“Spellbinding” – Mark Page, The Sesh
“Her voice alone filled the church with sound; it was amazing” – Alan Raw
9:45pm HILLBILLY TROUPE
Folk mixed with punk and ska with a healthy dose of Americana.
A good time musical, singing songs about God, struggle and bandits. Troupe ho!
Saturday evening sponsored by Molly Mangan’s – Irish bar on Newland Avenue in Hull, serving great Guinness, Irish whiskeys and a proper late-night pub atmosphere.
PLUS – free entry Saturday singaround from 7pm ’til late at Minerva Pub, Nelson St, Hull Marina.
