FUN EASTER EGG GRAB!
It's on again! The Canberra Miniature Railway is holding its Easter eggstravaganza over two nights on Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April! This is easily our most popular event and we sold out of tickets last year, so get in quick!
There will be two Easter egg "grabs" each day (we can't really call them "hunts" given what happens) at 5:00pm for children aged under 6, and 5:30pm for children aged between 6 and 12 years old. There are 2,500 Easter eggs up for grabs on each of the two nights. It's a great fun event not to be missed, so plan to arrive early (gates open at 4:00pm) to make sure you are checked in at the ticket office and can join in.
The trains will then run between 6:00pm and 9:00pm each day. If you can stay until dusk, you'll be treated to a huge animated light show where our tracks and trains are lit up by thousands of computer controlled coloured lights.

NOTE: Every person entering the site must have a ticket (but children aged under 3 are free). Tickets include entry, unlimited rides, the light shows, and for children the Easter egg grabs. Rides are for everyone but the egg grabs are for CHILDREN ONLY!

If we have to cancel for weather or any other reason, we'll put up a notice here: https://www.csmee.au/cmr/status showing whether we are running or not by 3:00pm on the day.
For safety reasons, children shorter than our measuring sticks (about 1.4 m) must ride trains with an adult. ENCLOSED FOOTWEAR IS REQUIRED for everyone (no thongs, sandals, etc).
Our canteen will be open for yummy hot and cold food and drinks so you can enjoy a meal while watching the trains. We've gone cashless so if you'd like to make a purchase, bring your card/device.
