Please join us for our Sept 29th annual Holly Springs MLK Jr. Committee Golf Tournament, our largest annual fundraiser. With support from sponsors like you, we are able to continue our community outreach and support. We hope to raise over $10,000 to continue to fund the many education and outreach programs we conduct each year. We are proud to be a volunteer lead 501(c)3 non-profit organization and 100% of the funds raised go back to supporting our community and programs.
Some of the programs we have led in the community include:
Annual MLK Weekend: Occurring around Dr. King's birthday, this full weekend of events kicks off with a Saturday community breakfast with speakers, a Sunday walk, and a Sunday afternoon presentation highlighting teachings of Dr. King. All activities are free and open to the public.
Black History Month Movies: this year we featured adult and kid's movies promoting Black History. These free movies are held at the Holly Springs Cultural Center.
Student Scholarships: Each year we support local rising High School students by providing scholarships for their post secondary education.
Holly Springs UNC Rex Spiritual Space Sponsor: The Holly Springs MLK Jr. Committee is proud to be the sponsor for the spiritual space in our new hospital.
Community Outreach: Our committee is active year-round supporting our community in delivering for Meals on Wheels and donations to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. There are just a few examples of the many community activities we participate in.
Registration is now open. Teams are $500 for 4 players or $125 for individuals.
