Aims

That those participating

• Understand the natural history of HPV carriage and infection.

• For girls, be able to evaluate the benefits and risks of the vaccine vs those of regular cervical screening

• For boys, be able to evaluate the benefits and risks of the vaccine

• Understand what rigorous safety testing of vaccines, and all drugs, involves.

• Understand the impact HPV vaccination may have on long term health.

• Have the information needed for informed consent.

• Learn that people must evaluate information themselves rather than rely on third parties.

• Remember that invasive or persistent disease is determined by one's general level of health and whether acute symptoms are allowed to be externalised, or suppressed.
