About this Event
Around The Horn Brewing Company invites you and your four-legged friends to our second annual HOWL-O-WEEN party, featuring a doggie costume contest and meet-and-greet with local dog-focused organizations!
Join us on Sunday October 26 from 11 am to 2 pm in The Corral beer garden for a pawsitively spooktacular time. Whether your pup is spooky, silly, or just downright adorable, all are welcome to join in the fun. In addition to the dog costume contest, you'll have the opportunity to meet representatives from Northside Pet Connection, Yosemite Tails and Trails, and California Houndsmen for Conservation.
Dog Costume Contest Categories, Entry Fee, and Judging
There are five categories that entrants will be eligible to win. Winners will receive Around The Horn gift cards.
- Best Group (must include one dog minimum, can include humans too)
- Spookiest
- Most Creative
- Northside Pet Connection choice
- Social media choice
There is a $5 entry fee per dog, all of which will be donated to Northside Pet Connection (of course you are welcome to donate more than $5!). You only need to pay the $5 entry fee once for your dog to be eligible for all relevant categories.
Upon paying your dog’s entry fee, we will take a photograph of your dog to be used for judging. The contest period will end at 2 pm on Sunday October 20 and judging will begin immediately following, with winners anounced by 2:15 pm. You do NOT have to be present to win. (The exception to this timeline is the social media contest—voting will take place via our social media channels and the winner will be announced on Thursday October 30.)
Keep ‘Em Leashed, Keep 'Em Happy
We really want this event to be successful and as low stress as possible, so we need your help as dog parents to keep your furry charges on their best behavior.
All dogs must be leashed at all times. Aggressive behavior (excessive barking, biting, fighting, etc.) from dogs will NOT be tolerated and you will be asked to leave. Dogs are not allowed on tables or benches. Please bring poop bags to clean up any accidents.
As a reminder, only service animals are allowed to sit inside Around The Horn’s taproom, per the Tuolumne County Environmental Health department. Emotional support animals are not considered service animals (per California law and federal law) and are therefore not permitted to sit inside the taproom.
Dogs cannot be left unsupervised in The Corral. You can utilize our QR code ordering system to place food and drink orders that we will deliver to your table so you can stay with your pup.
