HOWDY PARDNERS!!
You may have seen the flyers and wondered to yourself, what is Howdy Pardner? Howdy is a team based, fun, social and just a tiny bit competitive pinball format pioneered by our friends at Wedgehead, a pinball bar in Portland, Oregon. This is the perfect pinball event to bring your fun-loving pinball-curious friends to! And if you come in Wild West attire, you’ll be guaranteed to have a really good time. Our event will take place at The Pinball Co-op, Sunday, July 12th, doors open at 11am. THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR OF US DOING THIS AND WE'RE SO EXCITED.
Tourney format: Players will register through the patent pending Howdy Pardner web app. Teams of four are formed, with self reported skill levels helping balance the distribution of novices and experts in each group. Those groups then play at least 7 four player games on the bank of predetermined machines, and for each game, add their scores together to make one team score. Scores are reported in the Howdy Pardner web app, and hidden until the end. These scores are compared to other team scores at the end, when champions are crowned.
In addition to this, there will be bounties on some (most) machines, that when achieved, will win you and your team prizes! Bounties will be objectives (i.e. destroy four castles on Medieval Madness, etc.) and the first person to achieve the bounty will get a prize!
We will also be raffling off a lit playfield! By showing up you will automatically be entered into the drawing.
Doors open at 11am, please register by 11:30am. $15 entry. Western themed costumes highly encouraged.
