Dr. Skinner is the Asher O. and Carrie Nasby Professor of
New Testament at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul and the
Scholar for Adult Education at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis. A graduate of Brown University (BA) and Princeton Theological Seminary (MDiv and PhD), he is an ordained teaching elder (minister) in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the author of ten books. With two other Luther Seminary faculty members, he co-hosts Sermon Brainwave, a seventeen-year-old weekly podcast that helps preachers wrestle productively with biblical texts as they prepare their sermons. He has three adult children and enjoys dining out and walking around his local lake during his free time.
