Wondering what to actually do with lavender after you grow or harvest? Join us for How to Use Lavender, a hands-on, sensory-filled workshop designed to show you how to get the most out of this versatile herb—from garden to sachet to spray bottle.
This class takes you on a guided experience through Lavender Hill Farm, where you’ll explore both the beauty and the utility of lavender in everyday life. You'll learn how to process, preserve, and enjoy your lavender harvest in creative and practical ways.
Each Participant Receives:
• A live lavender plant to take home
• A bottle of our farm-distilled lavender hydrosol
• A lavender sachet, hand-filled by you
Workshop Highlights:
• A walking tour through our garden, labyrinth, and drying shed
• Learn to properly harvest, hang, and screen dried lavender
• A behind-the-scenes look at steam distillation in our stillhouse
• Choose your own lavender plant from the greenhouse
• Take home a lavender hydrosol, a refreshing multipurpose spray
We'll also cover key lavender-growing tips like:
• How to select the right cultivar for your needs
• Fertilization and winterizing basics
• First-season plant care and pruning techniques
• And plenty of time for your lavender questions!
